Multiple Redemptions
Multiple Redemptions
Definition
Multiple Redemptions is the foundation of Redemptions 2.0. This feature allows you to permit multiple redemptions on a single receipt. This must be enabled first in order to enable any of the other features offered within Redemptions 2.0. Refer to Offers: Overview to learn about all the different features.
Configuration
You will work with your Punchh representative to enable Multiple Redemptions first, prior to any other features within Redemptions 2.0. Additionally, you can set the Total Number of Redemptions Allowed per transaction. The maximum limit is based on the quantity (not discount value) of discounts processed per transaction. If no limit is set, the system will default to a maximum number of 10 discounts per transaction.
Note: Auto-redemptions are also covered within this limit. For example, If ‘Total Number of Redemptions Allowed’ is 10 and the guest has added eight offers in the discount basket, then only two auto-applicable discounts will be added, adhering to the limit of 10.
After Multiple Redemptions has been enabled for your business, there is no additional platform configurations are required for this specific feature. You will create redeemables or campaigns as normal, and a guest will be able to redeem multiple rewards on qualifying transactions. To have rewards automatically applied to the transactions for the guest, see Auto-Redemptions.
Use Case
Redeeming more than one offer on a single transaction
The guest wants to purchase a cheeseburger and a chicken sandwich. They are a loyalty member and have an offer available to them for $1 off the cheeseburger. The business is also running a campaign that offers a free drink with the purchase of any sandwich. With Multiple Redemptions enabled, the guest will receive $1 off a cheeseburger and a free drink on the same transaction, with the purchase of the cheeseburger and chicken sandwich.
The Multiple Redemptions feature allows for the combination of all offer types on one transaction: loyalty, public campaigns, memberships, and coupons/promos. The guest will be able to redeem as many offers as your business allows on a single transaction.
If you wish to have guests redeem more than one offer on a single line item, you will need to have Stacked Discounting enabled as well. Refer to Stacked Discounting for more details.
