Definition
Discount Stacking allows more than one discount to be applied to the same line item. (This does not apply to flat dollar or percentage discounts.)
Note: Discount Stacking pertains to targeted items; Item Qualifier Recycling pertains to referenced items
Configuration
Multiple Redemptions must be enabled first, before enabling Discount Stacking.
When Discount Stacking is enabled, the below check box will appear within the Qualification Criteria and Redeemable workflows. Check the box to turn ON discount stacking and allow multiple discounts to be applied to the line item within the QC or the Redeemable. Leave the box unchecked to disable discount stacking for that particular QC or Redeemable.
Use Case
Redeeming more than one offer on a single line item.
The guest wants to purchase a cheeseburger. They are a loyalty member and have an offer available to them to receive a $1 off. Additionally, the business is offering a public-wide campaign which offers a free small fry with the purchase of a cheeseburger. When Discount Stacking is enabled, the guest would be able to redeem the $1-off loyalty offer AND receive the free small fry at the same time when they purchase the cheeseburger.
