Campaigns
Guest Code Dynamic Tag for Email Messages
You can now include a {guest_code} dynamic tag in your email campaign and system message templates. When an email is sent, the tag automatically resolves to each guest's unique short alphanumeric Guest Code — the same code shown on their guest profile. This supports table-service and POS look-up workflows: a guest shares their code with a server, who can then look them up, check them in, and apply rewards at the point of sale without requiring an app, scanner, or personal information. (CAM-7510, PDOC-4238)
See the following article(s) for more details:
SendGrid Verification Control at the Business Level
You can now control SendGrid verification at the individual business level. A new per-business toggle (verify_sendgrid_status) determines whether your SendGrid email setup is validated before campaigns or mass gifting are created. When enabled, the platform catches misconfigured email settings upfront, preventing send failures before they occur. The toggle is enabled by default. (CAM-7465, EPS-11658)
Action Required: This feature is enabled by default. If you wish to disable this feature, contact your Punchh representative.
Offers
Anonymous Guest Creation for Invalid Coupon Codes
For non-loyalty guests redeeming a coupon code in Redemptions 2.0, Punchh creates an anonymous guest to allow the redemption. Previously, an anonymous guest was created even when the coupon code was invalid. This has been corrected so that an anonymous guest is no longer created when an invalid coupon code is scanned.
