April Release - V4.73

What's new?

We’ve introduced a new Menu Presentation Layer that separates backend menu data from the customer-facing experience. This allows brands to deliver modern, flexible ordering experiences without needing to restructure POS menus, while enabling faster innovation and scalability.

Catering Pipeline

We’ve introduced a new pipeline tool to manage catering opportunities from inquiry to fulfillment. This provides better visibility into leads, streamlines workflows, and improves revenue tracking.

Advanced Fee Transparency Settings

Brands can customize how fees are displayed to customers—from detailed, itemized breakdowns to simplified, consolidated fee lines—enhancing clarity and user experience.

We've introduced a toggle on the dynamic pricing page to align takeout menu pricing with delivery pricing using dynamic pricing rules.

Users can now clearly see how many modifiers are included at no extra cost in marketplaces based on data pulled directly from the POS, improving transparency and clarity during checkout.

Product Images in Cart

We’ve introduced a toggle that allows brands to display product images within the cart.

Additional Nutritional Information

Expanded nutritional details—including macro nutrients—are now available to help customers make more informed choices.

Barcode Scanning on Kiosk

Kiosk now supports barcode scanning, allowing guests to quickly scan items instead of navigating menus—reducing wait times in high-traffic environments.

Enhanced Marketplace Tax Handling (PAR POS)

We’ve improved how marketplace taxes are handled by leveraging PAR POS’s native support for Marketplace Facilitator (MPF) taxes. This replaces previous workaround approaches and ensures more accurate tax calculations and reporting for orders from platforms like DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Marketplace Tax Breakdown (DoorDash)

Orders from DoorDash now include a more detailed tax breakdown at the item and jurisdiction level, with clear visibility into what DoorDash remits versus what the merchant owes—improving transparency and reporting accuracy.

Separated DSP Tips (PAR POS)

Tips from delivery providers are now tracked separately from staff tips in PAR POS, making reconciliation easier and providing clearer financial reporting.

Automatic Item Availability Polling (DoorDash)

We’ve implemented polling the endpoint for DoorDash to validate item availability post-menu sync, preventing reactivation of 86’d items.

Enhanced Error Messaging (DoorDash)

We’ve improved error handling to provide more accurate and structured messaging for failed orders, helping reduce issues and enable better automated recovery.

We've introduced a toggle to “hold” (inject orders as manual to PAR POS) orders and automatically fire them to the KDS based on defined preparation times.

Marketplace Configuration in Management Center

Marketplace settings—such as channel assignments and store connections—can now be managed directly in the Management Center, simplifying configuration and reducing reliance on legacy tools.

Apple Sign-In & Google Analytics via Customization Center

Configuration for Apple Sign-In and Google Analytics is now available directly in the Customization Center, simplifying setup and reducing onboarding time.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance our products and services!
