Text-Based Configuration Settings for Simphony POS

In this release, we have implemented a simple text configuration for IP, port, and discount settings in EMC. (PD-5561, PDOC-3667)

The EMC admin will need to add a Text record named “PunchhSettings” alongside the Simphony extension application DLL that includes the following:

ProxyAddress=[IP Address of proxy host]
ProxyPort=[Port of Punchh Proxy]
DiscountItemNum=[Discount item number of primary Punchh discount]
LineItemDiscountItemNum=[Discount item number of line-item Punchh discount]

Line-Item Discounts in Simphony POS

In this release, we have implemented line-item discounts in Simphony. Now, discounts will automatically apply to the specific line item they are associated with when a new item-level discount is configured in EMC. A brand can create a second discount in Simphony that will attach the discount to the line item (instead of just order total) on the check. To do so, the brand will need to set up an additional line-item discount the same way the discount steps explain, but with one change: option "3 - This is an Item Discount" must be selected in EMC as shown in the following image. If this line-item discount is missing from the text configuration shown in the section above, it will fall back to the primary Punchh discount. If it exists and an item qualifies for a single line item, it will apply to that line item. (PD-5561, PDOC-3667)

QR Codes Not Printed for Loyalty Users in Simphony POS

Changed behavior in Simphony so that when a loyalty user is associated with a check, a QR code will no longer print on the check. (PD-5771)

Bug Fixes on Simphony POS

• Fixed bug that was duplicating receipt trailer line 4 instead of printing line 3. (PD-5986, EPS-11115)
• Loyalty QR codes are no longer printed on refund and void transaction receipts. (PD-5801, EPS-10905)
• Fixed issue for client/proxy server machines having different regions for date format. (PD-6000, EPS-11184)
• Fixed behavior in Simphony where when the proxy was unavailable, POS terminals lagged. (PD-5713, EPS-10767)
