What's the difference between a PAR OPS Login and an Employee Record or Profile?

A PAR OPS Login and an Employee Record serve two different purposes. The OPS Login is a Portal credential used by Managers, Shift Leads, and Above Store users to access back-office functions like inventory, ordering, invoicing, scheduling, payroll, and reports. An Employee record is the profile every person has in PAR OPS, and it drives the PAR OPS App, where employees view schedules, record timecards, request time off, and swap shifts. Hourly team members typically have only an Employee record. Managers and Shift Leads have both and must link their User profile to their Employee record in the Portal before they can use the App.

A PAR OPS Login:

• Used by Managers, Shift Leads and Above-Store users to access the PAR OPS Web Portal (https://dc01.rmdatacentral.com/Portal1...)
• The Login Name to access the Portal will never be a personal email that ends with @gmail.com or @yahoo.com or @live.com
• For functionality like Inventory, Ordering, Invoicing, Scheduling, Payroll and Reports
• Access to specific functions may be different or limited, depending on permission level created by each organization
• Hourly team members will not usually have a Login with access to Portal to enter inventory or create schedules or other functions

An Employee Record or Profile:

• Used by all employees (both managers and team members) to view their schedule in the PAR OPS App
• Timecards are recorded to an Employee Record or Profile
• Hourly team members log into the PAR OPS App with the email assigned to their PAR OPS Employee Record (usually a personal email address)
• The PAR OPS App can also be used to request time off, drop and swap shifts, send messages and manage availability
