How do I enter prep quantities?

A template must be created by the Admin before prep can be entered.

  2. Select the Template
  3. Select the Shift
  4. Select the Date
  5. Expand the Group details
  6. Navigate to the item
  7. Enter the Prep Quantity

Explanation of Prep fields:

  • Suggested Prep - The amount of items to be prepped based on previous usage and forecast sales
  • On Hand - Amount of product currently on premises
  • Prep Quantity - Defaults to Suggested Prep quantity minus On Hand quantity. This field can be adjusted manually
  • Assign To - Prepping the item can be assigned to employees and stations.
  • Recipe - Select the icon to view a breakdown of recipe information, automatically calculated to match the suggested prep quantity.
  • Print - Print a label for the Prep or Freezer item

Explanation of Freezer fields:

  • Suggested Pull- The amount of this item that is suggested to be pulled from the freezer based on previous usage and forecast sales
  • Thawed- Amount of this item is already thawed
  • Pull Quantity - This field will default to Suggested Pull minus Thawed Quantity. This field can be adjusted manually
  • Assign To - Prepping the item can be assigned to employees and stations
  • Print - Print a label for the Prep or Freezer item

Explanation of Prep Format fields:

  • Description - Enter the name of the prep template
  • Forecast Format - (Default = Default Format)Select the forecast that will be used for prep suggestions for this template if the template used should be different from the one currently assigned to each store.
  • Number of Decimals -(Default =OFF) Select the decimal precision to be applied to all lines in this template
  • Unit Lock -(Default t =OFF) Select if this template should not be allowed to be edited at the store
  • Show Inventory on Hand -(Default=ON) Select to show the current Inventory on Hand based on counted items

    Lines:
    • Section - (Named Group in the Portal)- Enter the name of the section/group this item will be assigned
    • Sort Order - (Default=0) - Enter the number this item will be assigned
    • Item - Select the item.  Only items that have been given the Prep permission in the Item Master will be available.
    • Unit of Measure - Select the Unit of Measure (UM) for this item.  Only UM  that have been given the Prep permission in the Item Master will be available.
    • Mode -(Default=Daily)Select one fo the following
      • Shelf Life - The suggested prep amount will include the total amount needed to prep for the entire shelf life as entered in the  Item Master
      • Daily - The suggested prep amount will include the total amount neededfor the day

When a new item is added to Prep and Freezer Pull templates, a recalculation is required to show projections on the same day.  Run the Prep Sheet Calculate to recalculate Prep sheet values.  Run the Freezer Pull Calculate to recalculate Freezer pull values
