Employee Field Mapping

Employee Field Mapping is used to define how fields in the Unit level Employees form are viewed, edited and updated.

This activity is available in the Smart Client ONLY.

How are the Rows Populated in the Employee Fields Tab?

The rows show fields from the Unit level Employees form. New rows cannot be added. No rows can be deleted. If any rows are missing, please enter a support ticket.

Explanation of Columns

Main

  • 'DETAILS' column: Where you can view information of the row by clicking the ellipses
  • 'DESCRIPTION' column: This is where you enter the name to be used for selection in Restaurants Fields Mapping
  • 'INTERNAL' column: Internal is checked on for the Default Mapping which is the default applied to all restaurants when PAR OPS is first installed
  • 'HIDE' column: Put a check in this box, if you prefer to remove this option from selection in Restaurants Fields Mapping

Employee Fields Tab

  • 'EMPLOYEE FIELD': The database field name
  • 'ALLOW EDIT': If you place a check in this box, it allows the selected field to be edited.
  • 'ENABLE': A check in this box shows this field. If the box is not checked the field will show grayed out and visible, but is not available for use
  • 'REQUIRED': A check in this box notates this field with two asterisks
  • 'POS UPDATE TYPE': This is where you select from the listed actions:
    • DC: The selected field will not be updated from the POS
    • POS: The selected field will always update from the POS and bring in data (even if nulls) from POS and disregard DC data
    • POS if POS not blank: The selected field will update with POS data only if the selected field in POS is not blank
    • POS if DC blank: The selected field will update with POS data only if the selected field in PAR OPS is blank

How Do I Add A Template?

Once you have opened Employee Field Mapping, perform the following

  1. Click Add
  2. Enter Description in the 'DESCRIPTION' column
  3. Click Save
  4. Expand the details
  5. Make the necessary adjustments
  6. Click Save

How Do I Delete A Template?

Once you have opened Employee Field Mapping, perform the following

  1. Select the row to be deleted
  2. Click Delete
  3. Click Save

How Do I Modify A Template?

Once you have opened Employee Field Mapping, perform the following

  1. Select the row to be modified
  2. Expand the details of the row
  3. Make the necessary adjustments
  4. Click Save

Where Do I Assign A Template?

Once you have opened Restaurants, perform the following

  1. Select the unit to be modified
  2. Scroll to Employee Maintenance Settings band
  3. Navigate to the 'FIELDS MAPPING' column
  4. Select the correct template from the look up list
  5. Click Save
