Label Management

Label Management allows stores to create and customize label formats for Prep and Freezer Pull. Stores can start with the included default format or build their own, then assign formats to prep items, preview them, and print directly from the Prep and Freezer Pull activity. Labels can be affixed to prep and freezer products to help maintain proper use and rotation.

The recommended prep-label printer for this feature is the Zebra ZD411. Label Management also supports the Bixolon SLP-X220.

This feature is currently only available for Android or Windows devices.

How do I update the prep label configuration?

1. Go to Label Management
2. Expand the appropriate label dimension (1x1 or 2x2)
3. Select Default
4. Select the configure icon
5. Update the configuration
6. Select Save

How do I create a new prep label configuration?

1. Go to Label Management
2. Select Add Label
3. Enter Label Name
4. Select Size
5. Select Justification
6. Select Settings for any row
7. Set font size and Bold
8. Drag Attributes onto the Label Editor column sections
9. Review Label Editor screen
10. Review Print Preview screen
11. Select Save

How do I setup my Zebra prep label printer?

1. Download Zebra Printer Setup Utility
   1. Open Web Browser
      1. Go to https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads/software/printer-software/printer-setup-utilities.html
2. Install Printer Software
   1. Locate Download for ZD411 printer
   2. Select Download button
   3. Select printer connection type
   4. Select Next
   5. Plug in USB cord
   6. Select Manual Install
   7. Select Finish
   8. Select Configure Printer Settings
   9. Select label Parameters
   10. Select Finish
3. Setup Bluetooth Printing
   1. Select Connectivity type
   2. Select Bluetooth
   3. Select Bluetooth settings
   4. Select Finish
4. Setup Wi-Fi Printing
   1. Select Wireless
   2. Select DHCP
      1. NOTE: When setting up a Static IP connection, you will need to know your Subnet Mask and Default Gateway information.
   3. Select Next
   4. Select Band settings
   5. Select Next
   6. Select WLAN Country settings
   7. Select Next
   8. Locate your Wi-Fi network name
   9. Enter ESSID (Wi-Fi connection name)
   10. Select Security mode
   11. Enter Security Username
   12. Enter Security password
   13. Select Next
   14. Select String
   15. Enter PSK (Pre-shared Key/Password)
   16. Select Next
   17. Select Next buttons skipping Advanced settings and Stream screens
   18. On last page, select the option to automatically send the Wi-Fi information to the printer
   19. Select Finish
   20. NOTE: As information is being transmitted to the printer, all lights on the printer should turn orange followed by the status button being lit. The status light will then turn green.

   2. Locate Download for Browser Print SDK
   3. Select Download Browser Print button
   4. Select Download Browser Print For your device
   5. Select Download button
   6. Fill in required information
   7. Select Submit

   2. Select Print Settings
   3. Select Print via Bluetooth
   4. Select Items for label printing
   5. Select Print
   6. Review Print Preview
   7. Update print quantities as needed

   1. Go to Prep and Freezer Pull
   2. Select Print Settings
   3. Select Print via Bluetooth
   4. Select Items for label printing
   5. Select Print
   6. Review Print Preview
   7. Update print quantities as needed
   8. Select Print button
   9. Select Yes
8. Mobile App Bluetooth Printing
   1. NOTE: Ensure all other Bluetooth connections are turned off.
   2. Install your device’s Zebra Printer Setup app
   3. Select the App’s Info icon
   4. Retrieve printer’s IP Address
   5. Open the Mobile App
   6. Select Prep and Freezer Pull
   7. Select the Ellipses
   8. Select Print Settings
   9. Select Print to Bluetooth

   1. Install your device’s Zebra Printer Setup app
   2. Select the App’s Info icon
   3. Retrieve printer’s IP Address
   4. Open the Mobile App
   5. Select Prep and Freezer Pull
   6. Select the Ellipses
